Where’s the CTC?
Many of you may be wondering what hap- pened to the Mobile Command Training Center (MCTC). We are very excited about the future of the MCTC, so I will take this opportunity to bring you up to speed on what we are doing to improve this valuable training, including updating our current trailer, building a new one, and even creat- ing “The CTC in a Box” program.
I am excited to tell you that we are currently building a brand new MCTC trailer and com- pletely rebuilding the existing one. We are also planning on using a new computer program and upgrading the format of the classes. Both
trailers are currently under construction. We hope to have both trailers completed and instructors trained by the fall of 2021.
If you have had the opportunity to attend training in the MCTC, you are aware that it
is very close quarters when you are inside the trailer. When the COVID-19 pandemic began last March, we had to suspend the training because of the close quarters. It does not allow for social distancing within the confines of that trailer. When COVID-19 required UFRA to shut it down, we felt that was a good time to take action.
